Dear Roger,
I received the vise Mike Martinek had you send to me. I am very impressed with the quality. The finish is beautiful. I displayed it at the Sportsmans Warehouse during the tying clinic I did Saturday. I got a lot of favorable comments. I do an all day tying clinic most every Saturday. I will be tying at the Utah Boat Show in February, The Western Colorado tying expo in March, The Eastern Idaho tying Expo in April, and the Federation Conclave in Yellowstone Park in August. I will use the vise at these events. I will present it to the buyers for the Sportsmans Warehouse. They currently have twenty one stores wtih ten new ones scheduled this year. They have in the past been reluctant to stock high end products, but have recently spoken to me about upgrading some of their products. When I get better acquanted with the vise I'll give you some more comments.
Thank You,
Buddy Knight
As a tyer for the past 40 years, I have had the opportunity to tie on many vises. A year ago I was introduced to the Spearhead Vise and have used it ever since. The Spearhead Vise has the best design features, quality and comfort of any vise I have used to date.
The universal jaw allows me the flexibility to tie flies from 28-2/0 and the saltwater jaw allows me the flexibility to tie flies from 1-7/0 , without having to dismantle the vice! Also the rotary function allows me to produce more quality flies in less time, and the 90 degree indexing feature provides the control I need when tying "wing type" flies.
I strongly recommend and personally endorse anyone to use a Spearhead Vise because it has the quality, ease of use, and guarantee from the manufacturer, which assures you the finest vise manufactured in the United States.
Tight Lines,
Mike Martinek
Hi Roger,
I just returned from a tying expo in Montrose Colorado where I used the Spearhead Vise. I showed it to a lot of people. It was very well received. The finish on the vise is superb. I really like the indexing feature. It is a very comfortable vise, easy to adjust and holds all sizes of hooks. I will be using it this month at the Grand Junction Colorado expo and next month at the Idaho Falls Idaho expo. I will let you now how it goes.
Thanks again,
Buddy Knight
Hello Roger, I just wanted to thank you for manufacturing such an incredible vice. The ease and comfort of tying flies on your vice is second to none! My ability to change-out the saltwater and freshwater jaws, without disassembling the vice, and the 90 ° indexing feature, saves me countless hours and money. In addition, the quality of the materials you use are simply the best I have ever seen.
I have been fly tying for the past 17 years and have tried assorted vices such as Regal, Abel, and Renzetti. In my opinion, these vices can't compete against your vice, without any question!
In closing, I strongly recommend anyone to purchase a Spearhead Vise, because of the durability, quality and overall production capabilities this vice has to offer.
Thanks Again,
Paul Leclerc
